How Do I Get a free Library Card?

  • All Ohio residents are eligible to get a Library card.
  • You're never too young or too old to become a library cardholder!
  • Anyone under 18 years old must have an accompanying adult sign the library card application, taking responsibility for the account. The adult must have a valid photo ID and proof of current address (if different from ID).
  • If you are under 18, you can get a special, 3 For Me library card without needing the adult signer. See details about the 3 For Me card.
  • Anyone age 18 years old or older must have a valid photo ID and proof of current address (if different from ID) to apply for a library card.

What can i do with my Library Card?

How long may I keep materials?

Most items circulate for fourteen days. Video games, Lucky Day and new DVDs circulate for seven days. Holiday and other scheduled closed days are excluded from the date due and fines due calculations.

Materials are renewable two times if there no other patrons have them on hold and if your account is in good standing.

Renew online, in person, or by phone 24/7 at (330) 296-5870.

At this time, no overdue fines are being charged to accounts. You may see "accruing fines" listed on your account while items are in quarantine.  Once out of quarantine, however, all materials are checked in as fine-free. If you feel your account has been charged in error, please call one of our Public Services staff: 330-296-2827 x400.
