STAR, or “Stay and Read” is an after school reading enrichment program that is held once a week after school for students in grades 1-3. Students will meet with the Children's Outreach Services Librarian to participate in fun activities that are aimed at fostering a lasting love of reading. Each week we offer snacks, story time, crafts, activities, and access to literacy apps and eBooks on the library's tablets. Reluctant readers are welcome and encouraged. The program is provided at absolutely no cost to the families, but registration is required.
